Why we’re going crazy for The Pepper Boyfriend Collection

As Johnson begins to lift restrictions, our calendars are slowly and carefully beginning to build up with garden gatherings and outdoor brunches. But let’s be realistic. This is England, so sadly even though the arrival of Summer is a guarantee, the warm weather typically is not.
 
However the weather will never get in the middle of us Brits and a cool drink, therefore we wanted to design that perfect outerwear collection to throw on top of a boujie outfit when the evenings begin to cool down, or if it’s just downright tossing it down.
 
With the colour of the season, or even lockdown, revolving around warm nudes, coffee browns and sultry creams, we knew the new collection had to seamlessly blend with the rest of our wardrobes. The Boyfriend Collection, including a Hoodie and Fleece begins with light Khaki and Black. Staple shades which we’ll even carry into Autumn later in the year.

This collection is certainly a little different from the previous Pepper Hoodies, from the high mock neck collar, half zip detailing and cuffed sleeves. Taking inspo from some of our classics, the collection is an oversized fit for comfort and of course to suit the ever-growing trend.

 
The oversized trend has certainly grown over lockdown as we prioritised comfort and loungewear. To style this trend out and about we’ll be balancing the look with a slimmer fit elsewhere. For example with trainers and cycling shorts or slim denim jeans during the day, stepping the look up a notch in the evening with leather trousers and heels. This created the perfect balance of oversized, yet still polished.
 

When it comes to the sizing of the Boyfriend collection, for UK sizes 6-14, we’d recommending opting for the Oversized. For sizes UK 14-20, Extra Oversized will fit like a dream.
 
Last but not least. Pepper Hoodies have always been based on the female figure, however the oversized structure meant they beautifully suited all figures. A few select pieces from this collection will be designed to a unisex figure, meaning slightly less fitted and will suit all shapes. To begin with the Pepper Boyfriend Hoodie in Khaki and Grey will be available in unisex, whilst the Pepper Fleece in Black takes our usual shape, however keep an eye out as this collection will be growing very soon!
